Stuck scale and a trip

Friday, November 30, 2012

I think my scale needs new batteries! I weighed in this morning and it was exactly like it was earlier in the week. I mean to the tenth of a pound. So I stepped on the second time and it was
3 lbs lighter!! I triple checked and it was still 3 lbs lighter than the first weight. I do believe the lighter weight as my clothes have been a little looser so that's what I'm logging today.

Tonight we leave for Overland Park, Kansas for my oldest daughter's last tournament with her club soccer team. I'm a little melancholy about it. She's been playing since she was four and with this team for the past 6 years. It's the end to an "era" in our house and just another reminder that she's growing up and will soon be away to college. I need a tissue!

I hope this finds all of my sparkfriends well. It's been a very busy week. I had an activity every night this week, but I like being busy. Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

The digital scales seem to fluctuate widely. Mine can be up 6 pounds on any given day. Take the loss and enjoy it!

Good job on the weight loss! Have a great trip. My kids played club soccer also..you develop such nice friends with the other parents. Change is hard when you love these children. All 4 of mine are in college and out of the house. I miss them.

Oh ha! My scale has been stuck in the past on occasion as well. And sometimes, with those faulty batteries, it actually goes up half a pound.

Yay for your weight loss! I have 6 kids so I know how hard it can be to watch them grow up - especially as they get ready to go to college! Have fun and enjoy!

First - change your battery. Hopefully your scale decides to behave with something new to eat.

Second, I really understand about your daughter. My son will be finishing HS this year and it is "hard on mom". Enjoy the memories and look forward to making new ones as adults.

Just change the battery, to see if it makes a difference. The battery for my scale died and I thought when I replaced it I might see a difference. Nope, still the same. I weigh myself several times a week and get a better of my actual weight. Somedays there is a 3 pound difference. Enough about the scales, I try not to dwell on them. Is your daughter going to play college sports? There may be more events to keep you busy. Have a good day and congratulations on your weight loss.

congrats on your weight loss. It is sad when you devote your whole life to taking your children to events and clubs and then when they go off to college at first you do not know what to do with yourself with so much time on your hands but it gets better. I hope you have a happy Friday and a great weekend.
