Day #4: pre-birthday dinner & arms

Tomorrow is my birthday, so since I am signed up for free birthday stuff (google it!), we went to IHOP & I got a free entree and then we went to Chili's & I got a free queso/salsa/chips appetizer. I split both of these with hubby & ended up eating around 900 calories of food total, for a total of 1800-ish calories today (300ish over max). Not bad for a splurge day, especially since I have been under recommended intake this week!
After dinner, we went to the gym. I was proud of myself for going because it was 9:00pm by the time we left the restaurant & after a 13 hour work day I am tired! Nevertheless, I committed to it & I was determined to meet my goal of doing SOMETHING at the gym.
ST: 30 min of arms, including free weights with 5 & 10 lbs weights and different 11 arm machines. Some machines I did one set of 12-20 reps, others I did 2-3 sets. With all of the variety, I am pretty sure that all of my major arm muscles (and chest) got a good workout. When I left I was already sore. When I got home, I could barely lift the laptop to write this. Tomorrow I may pay for it. Oh, dear.
- turned down the cake in the break room
- ate birthday dinner slowly & enjoyed smaller portions
- ate more salsa than queso & picked out smaller chips rather than larger chips to dip so I got less but felt like I ate a lot more than I did
- went to the gym at the end of the day when I didn't feel like it
