Reading old blogs makes me smile

Thursday, November 29, 2012

After a nice little Samba inspired workout, I decided to sit down and look through some of my first blog entries. As I read them I felt almost transported back to the mindset that I had in early 2010. I began to feel the excitement of my words, the persistent motivation, and sheer joyI had in each new thing I was putting my mind to.

These blogs remind me of how great I can feel inside and out. That desire and drive I once had has never truly been gone. I realize that now as I look through these and notice that I still have these feelings. The only difference is that I put all that persistance and desire into one or two things and never save some for other areas of focus. I have so much of this inside me that there is no reason I can't "share" with other areas such as my health.

These blogs are truly a blessing. They show the good times, remind us of our accomplishments, but also keep us real while showing the times where we may take a dip away from focus. I hope each of you has a journal or blog that you can reflect on as a valuable tool in your journey.

All the best!

I enjoy your reflection on your blogging. I haven't been writing them for long but I do find myself straying back to the old ones once in a while and getting a kick out of the funnies made or the support given. I also like to try to think of what my frame of mind or my mood was the day they were written.

I've never kept a journal, written in a diary, or blogged until joining sparkpeople...But everything that has come out of this website for me has been greater than gold. I imagine in the long run blogging will be that, too.

    Have a good one.
