NOVEMBER SAW THE END OF FOREVER PLATEAU

No matter what I did over the past few years, I just couldn't lose any more than the 30 that came off before arriving at SP. Of course, I have to add here that I was a lifelong brat in the sense of never have had a weight problem prior to about 6 years ago when lots of factors converged.

Okay, so I set a plan a for November, b for December and c for January. I plan to be at my goal weight by my birthday in February.

What I did in November was to restrict my carbs. I'd been going haywire with carbs, not counting fruit, veggies and other "healthy" carbs. About midway into this month, I read a SP friend's blog that she was doing similar after reading the book Metabolism Miracle. It outlines almost exactly what I'd been doing. It's a really helpful reference book for me.

NOW I'M SHOUTING WOOOOOHOOOOO - I've lost 9 lbs in November. Will be doing something different in December, but still low carbs. I also want to get rid of coffee once and for all, even though I only drink a small mugful in the morning.

I have 7 lbs to my goal weight, but have already decided that I may very well set it down again when I reach that. It's the weight I feel good at, not the weight that the charts say I should weigh. We'll see. It really depends what my body looks and feels like at that weight.

I'd like to let go of 4 in December, 4 in January, plus rid of caffeine forever.

    Congratulations!! You are doing amazing. Carbs are the problem and they are the solution. Good luck getting rid of the coffee. I quit years ago and still enjoy the best part of it - the smell- but don't miss the rest.

    Sounds like a good plan to me! I've been trying to restrict my carbs too except for the fruits and veggies. I'm hoping that now that I'm able to exercise a little more that it will help me to lose more weight.

    You're doing great and you have figured out a plan that works for you. A lot of people see a plan that worked for someone else and don't understand that we are all different. Congratulations and I KNOW you will make it happen!!! emoticon
