I recently finished a book called "Band of Sisters." It's about a group of women who's husbands are deployed in Afganistan together. The book is short, but it took me a while to read it. I identified with all of the women in the book in one way or other. Some of them I idenitified with so much that I had to set the book aside during some of the emotional parts of the book.

It made me think of how lucky I am to have so many friends, family and neighbors willing to support me and each other. That doesn't mean I'm great at asking for help, far from, but it's wonderful to know the safety net is there.

I count you as part of that safety net and I appreciate the freedom to share my ups and downs with you.

This little network really is important. I get busy with my challenge team and it's a half day now to get caught up with everyone. I am wondering if it is worth it. My team is GREAT for challenges but there are only a couple of people I feel remotely connected to. Worth considering. Why am I here? Well I have to admit a big part has been not isolating my self and meeting new friends. But it is mainly to be healthy. Well, not going to change anything for today.
