I have decided to go very low carb for a few weeks to get past the cravings I seem to be having.
I am still going to have eggs for breakfast, but otherwise, just some meat. I had 6 chicken thighs for lunch, cooked in 2 Tbsp. olive oil. Dinner is a lb of steak, cooked in the same amount of olive oil.
Yesterday I ate no carbs for lunch and dinner, and today I lost another 1.8 lbs, so I am down to 221.6. I went over a little on calories, because my brother went and got potato salad, and a coke. So I ate 2 ozs of cheese, because watching him eat made me want to eat something, an cheese is better than anything else I could have immediately.
Went to get my Coumadin levels checked today( OK ), and pick up some more chicken from the Amish place. I did my 90 minute walk outside since it was in the low 40's and sunny. Beautiful day. Yesterday I went to play basketball for 45 minutes, and didn't push any harder. I felt good, but don't want to mess anything up, by overdoing it. Saturday I plan on playing at least an hour.
Just to clear up any confusion, I am not taking ANY diabetes meds, or cholesterol meds anymore. I quit the cholesterol meds about a month ago, and did not cut down how much I am taking, just cut them out completely. Finding that my HDL is still climbing is good news, which is why I mentioned it.
Cooking up dinner right now, and decided to weigh in. I wanted to wait a few days, but I think I am addicted to weighing in. Happy to see almost a 2 lb loss. My pan for tonight is to sit in front of the TV, and then read a book, and fall asleep. My next planned weigh in is Sunday, and I am hoping to be below 220.Tuesday is my doctor's appointment, and I am down over 30 lbs since August, so they should be happy.
Have a great night.
