And it definitely feels like I've been dreaming lately, as I have FINALLY emerged from my tunnel and achieved my goal of losing 120 pounds. Although I'm still 10% above where I should be on the BMI, I'm in the normal range for fat percentage, cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure and all that. I may revisit the weight goal at a later date, but right now, I'm happy with where I am.
Granted, yes, I do plan on losing another 5 pounds before Christmas, but that's more of a pre-emptive strike, since my mom doesn't cook as healthy as I do, and I won't be able to work out as much as I normally do that week. Although the goal will be to keep those pounds off, I don't want to be trapped by that kind of thinking.
Now, I just have to let my mind catch up to where my body is. I still look in the mirror and marvel at how I look, because it just doesn't seem real at times. Is that REALLY me getting ready for work? Is that REALLY me doing those bicep curls?
So until the reality of it hits that it truly is me, I'll just enjoy the dream. Of course, the dream includes me continuing to eat healthy and exercise. Otherwise, it would be a nightmare, and we don't want THAT, now, do we?
