I need real Food!!!

Thursday, November 29, 2012

No more leftovers!!! Not sure if anybody else does this, but usually the week after thanksgiving our house gets down to the bare bones, just waiting for the first to come around so we can go shopping. This year the first seemed so far away. I've been living off of turkey leftovers. We ran out of eggs, veggies, fruit and just about anything else to make healthy lunches and breakfast =( Tonight i have taken out ground beef to make spaghetti with frozen spinach. It was the best i could do with what i have in the house. AUGH!! I feel like i'm off track with my eating and there's nothing i can do about it until the first. I can tell i'm starting to get poor Hubby. He is usually my target, but he understands my frustrations. Another down side of the Holidays is spending money on travelling to relatives, when you could by fruit and veggies =( Only a couple more days, yippee! Then i can fill my house back up with all my good food and i won't feel so bummed out.

We tend to eat leftovers until we're both tired of them/finished them then go to the commissary (we're lucky enough to live relatively close to a base). This last holiday it took until yesterday, LOL. But I remember the times of waiting until the 1st and 15th. Here's hoping the it comes around quick!
