Under 200 calorie snacks

Do you want to satisfy your late-night appetite without going over the edge? Try these under 200-calorie treats from Healthy Homestyle Desserts. I came across a old article I had saved from Good Housekeeping and it is definitely worth posting (March 1999 Good Housekeeping). Maybe it will help all of us. emoticon

Frozen sugar-free fruit-juice bar: 25 calories
1 apple, sliced/ topped with 2 tbsp. fat-free caramel syrup+ 2 tsp.pecans: 188 calories
1/2 cup low-fat vanilla ice cream w/1/4 cup berries: 136 calories
1 chocolate covered-covered biscotti: 140 calories
1 cup hot cocoa w/skim milk: 144 calories
1/2 cup fat-free chocolate pudding, topped w/1 tsp.chocolate chips:153 calories
3 oatmeal-raisin cookies: 170 calories
1 frozen banana dipped in 2 tbsp. fat-free fudge topping: 175 caalories
3 graham crackers and 1 cup skim milk: 176 calories
6 gingersnaps: 180 calories

I know most of these, we have all tried before, but it is a good reminder anyway.
It may help from giving in to random cravings. For me, I found out, not to eat while standing up and also not to eat while lounging on the couch in front of the tv. If I stay out of the kitchen and also keep my hands busy, that helps too. Reading or doing a puzzle or game with the kids or grand-kids and drink lots of water and/or have some decaf herbal tea. Just a few things that may be helpful if you are like myself, always thinking of food or what I can cook next. Getting out my favorite recipes and also picking up new ones has been good for me too. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Something else that helps me if making sure I have had all my food groups for the day and checking on my WW healthy guidelines which many are familiar with from WW. Try to stick to two snacks a day and plan them ahead. Don't buy the goodies or salty snacks or do not have in the house. Give them away if you are the one that had the party that day. We can do this! Let's do this for ourselves. We are worth it!!

    I know this is putting a downer on part of your list Ei, but if you want a snack like and apple or banana, why put anything on them at all? Isn't the fruit enough?
