Hope you all had a nice thanksgiving. I was told , I,m not legally deaf, I am deaf. Wow. OK, now what, gonna get a cochlear implant sometime in Jan or Feb. All these appt, PT, and testing. and its not close by, I don,t know cincinnati that well. I get nervous driving where I don,t know my way. Can,t hear a gps. I,m gonna go to some support groups to find out what its like for them.
On another path, is I,m working out building muscle, 5 days a week. I want to build and get myself in the best shape I can, because when I have the surgery,I won,t be able too for a while. Fortutately for me, my husband is very supportive and helpful.
I will keep everyone posted. Keep up your clean eating and exercise. Its so nice to have all of you! Cherie

You will be just fine. There is so much out there to help you. My mom is deaf. She has been wearing hearing aids for years and has done very well.

Definitely keep up the exercise until the surgery. It will actually help your recovery from the surgery much smoother.

And I hope it all goes well for you on the surgery. My friend's son has an implant and the only thing he every complains about is the batteries. He loves it!
