well. on tuesday my friend at work and I decided to treat ourselves to some yummy desserts from a bakery right near work. I regret that decision because after the snacks I had the worst tummy pain. Like I swallowed a balloon filled with air and could do nothing about it. I slept terribly on Tuesday night and left work at 11:30 yesterday because my stomach hurt so much. After a nap yesterday I did start feeling better. I barely ate anything yesterday until around 3 pm, then I snacked a little too much. We don't have much very unhealthy food in the house right now but I probably didn't need to snack as much as I did.
Needless to say, didn't go to the gym on Tuesday or yesterday. I'm feeling better this morning, just still tired, and my muscles are sore, but I'll be back in the gym at lunchtime today. I might go after work as well since I didn't yesterday obviously.
Chloe is spending the next two days with her grandparents and then going to her mom's for the weekend so it will just be Joe, Spencer and I. We love Chloe but honestly, the break is nice. She acts up so much around her dad (just like Spencer acts up so much around -me-) and I know Joe is struggling with how to deal with it. She is also still very jealous of her little brother. Joe said he is looking forward to a few days with just Spencer so they can have some quality father-son time. :) Chloe is a good kid, but she's 4... one of the ages I like the least! lol.
Gonna make a salad for lunch. I started making a recipe collection of dinner ideas because Joe and I want to start planning meals together that the kids will hopefully eat. Next week when we go grocery shopping we're going only buy some healthy snacks and the ingredients we need for that weeks' dinners... hopefully this will help us save money and also come together as a family to be more healthy. My biggest challenge is snacking at night when I want something sweet and we don't have anything that fits the bill. I need to get some healthy dessert ideas...and, not fruit, because fruit is delicious but when you want something rich and chocolately, an apple just doesn't cut it! heh.
