One Winter's Night

It is a bitter-cold night out and the wind won't leave the hood of my jacket on, but the full moon is breathtaking. Here in Vermont we have just a dusting of snow. Enough to make everything festive, without compromising the footing for my moonlight walks. Working the night shift affords me the chance to enjoy moments like this that I would otherwise sleep through. My nose is red and the tops of my ears are frozen, but it's worth it...

    OH, I remember the days of working the 11 pm to 7 am shift! Never DID get off @ 7 am, but did love that shift. Really got to know my patients.

    We don't even have a dusting up here. I think we were spared even that at work. I need to do more outdoor walking. I have been a slug for 2 days. Reading your blog lifted my declining mood. Thank you. emoticon
