Speed of life...

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

I know I am in this time and place because God ordained it so, but I wonder what it would have been like to live before television, internet, cell phones and everything else that chases my time and wastes my energy. Maybe I'd be sitting on the porch with neighbors. I feel we've traded real fellowship for 24 hour streams of information.

To work full time, feed and chaffeur my family to school, sports, scouts, church takes so much time.

How do you reset the pace to something liveable, with more face to face time and time for solitude?

I understand where you're coming from. It seems that we are living life at such a "fast" pace that we often get caught up in keeping up the pace and forget about taking the time to enjoy the here and now. I see this with many of the young people I teach, always on the go..... rarely taking the time to breathe.... why? because that's what we as a society has taught them.... It's sad.... .I continue to search for some sort of balance.... striving to be our best.... but also taking the time to relish the here and now... before it becomes the past.

Good luck as you search for a way to find this balance!

Have a blessed day!
