One Week with my New Fitbit One

Last night was my first week anniversary with my new Fitbit One and the results are... that I lost 3 pounds!!! Hi! Hi! Not bad considering that I only had 18 pounds to lose.

What makes a difference is that I am now tracking my foods. I know I could have done it on Sparkpeople without buying a Fitbit One, but I was not motivated to do so. But I find it so much fun to use the Fitbit, above all, to sync on my computer at the end of the day and see all that numbers and reports! I bought the Premium reports and it is worthwhile (I ABSOLUTELY wanted the sleeping reports!)

I haven't improved my workout habits, nor my sleeping habits. Before I received my Fitbit One, I was full of hopes. I wished to change everything at the same time : track foods, exercise more and sleep more. However, I realized this week that working on one habit at a time is better for me. So, for now, tracking my foods is what I am focusing on.

However, to see everyday my poor results with fitness and sleep bothers me a lot and it is a good thing. I am sure that after a while at focusing on the food tracking, I will feel pushed towards improving my fitness activities or my sleeping habits.

Even if the Fitbit One costed me 100$ US and 21$ for the Customs, it was a good investment and I am so happy I got one.

I am really excited about my Fitbit One and I really love it!

    I am looking at the FitBit One too. Haven't decided. But, I, too, like your "one habit at a time" approach. I try to concur all of them at the same time and get overwhelmed, then quit. I will try your way with one at a time. Good job!

    I like your approach, focusing on one habit at a time. Sometimes I think when a person (me) tries to change too much it doesn't work. emoticon
