I am so craving right now, and it is a direct effect of stress.

I had a student in my office this afternoon who is getting an A-, but really, really wants an A. It would be funny, if she weren't so incredibly stressed over it. She was literally in tears. Obviously, she's getting a lot of pressure from her parents (or even from herself), and it is stressing her out big time.

Which is stressing me out big time, and I really, really want to eat to numb the feelings.

I'm not going to do it. Instead, I'm confessing, and having a healthy snack.

    I know, I know! I also know that, no matter how much I worry about her physical and mental health, I can't help her by OVEREATING! I know this isn't Overeaters Anonymous, but it's time for the Serenity Prayer:

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The strength to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

    Life is full of disappointments, she might as well practice it now. Perhaps her parents have passed the OCD gene to her, NOT your problem. Lock you door and leave HER problems outside.
