Really Sore

So I started this Jamie Eason's 12 week livefit program and my body is really hurting. I'm on day 3ish( I skipped last night's workout) I've never been this sore after lifting weights. Is my upper body this really out of shape? I may have overdone it by raking leaves the day after the first workout. Now I am asking myself: Should I stay on this program or do a little bit easier one for a couple weeks? I might just do the abs and legs workout tonight and call it good for this week. A shoulder workout doesn't sound like fun at all since my shoulders are already sore. Thinking about doing a run to help get some of this lactic acid out of my muscles.

    I was sore most workout days the first two weeks. I hadnt dont weight training for over a year, maybe two at that point.
It gets better.
Definitely pay attention to the percent maximums the program specifies and don't be afraid to push even less. It still helps increase your strength and abilities even if you start out lifting a bare minimum.

    Awww, sorry for the soreness. The raking probably didn't help. Just to make sure...are you only doing 60% of your max weight that you can do one lift, with perfect form? Sometimes people miss that part of it and it makes a big difference. The soreness will not be as wicked as you adjust. Still sore, but easier. You can do it!!!
