Cookie explosion!

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Melissa, one of our library volunteers who comes on Wednesdays, always brings us cookies. Always.

Always.

Today, she brought chocolate-cinnamon snaps with walnuts (or pecans, not sure) on top.

I've had three. I feel kinda bad about that, but at the same time, I have my whole day mapped out and realized I was short on calories for the rest of the day. They may not be the healthiest way to fill out my count, but they sure are tasty. And they have nuts on them! They must be good for you, right?

Right? emoticon

    I didn't read the recipe, that's why.
I just ate the cookie.

Marien, the recipe says cinnamon. If she put ginger in it, it was off recipe.

    I had one.
It was delicious.

I thought it was ginger?

Right. Absolutely right. Nuts have fiber and all kinds of good things. Besides, you deserve an occasional splurge. It helps you to stay motivated. Too much denial is not a good thing.

Just don't do it every day!

I had 2 peanut butter cups and some skittles yesterday and stayed in my range. All things in moderation. emoticon
