I actually set up my parameters yesterday and kept the calories under my recommended amounts, BUT I consider today my first real day. I am mindful of what I am eating today rather than just eating what was available, like I did yesterday. Yesterday, I ate some cookies which I shouldn't have because I am a Mountain Dew drinker and while I realize I will need to give up that empty calorie habit, I want to start with other stuff like the cookies first. I am fine with eating well at home especially if I refrain from buying junk foods-I don't miss them if I don't see them but I will have to develop better choices on days when I will be out running errands or whatever.
