So, on Halloween night, it started raining 5 minutes after we got back to the house from trick or treating. A couple weeks ago, it started raining 5 min after I got back from my run. When we went to San Francisco, it rained all the way down there, stopped while we were walking around Chinatown, and then started raining as soon as we got back to the car. And this morning, the drops started when I was about 2 minutes from my house, at the end of my workout.
Am I charmed when it comes to rain? If so, I'll take it, LOL!
So, rough night...disturbing dreams all night, don't know what that was all about, and I kept waking up with aches and pains (arthritis does NOT like changes in the weather). But I knew I'd better work out this morning because moving always helps. It wasn't raining yet, but Paul jumped on the ipad and showed me the huge band of green that was imminent. =:-o So I put on my new rain windbreaker thing, and a baseball cap, and hoped for the best.
Let me tell you, wearing a windbreaker when you're exercising isn't fun! I felt like I was wrapped in a plastic bag. :-p I ended up shedding it halfway through. And the hat made me hot...I think partially because it was a good 10 degrees warmer this morning than it has been! Amazing how fast you start getting used to working out in 40-degree weather.
Anyhow, as I said, I got lucky and it didn't start raining till I was almost home. It's POURING right now, and the wind is kicking up, so it should be a lovely day!
As for the workout...I REALLY didn't want to do any running, I was feeling so stiff and achy, but I knew I should...I did 2-min stints, with 3-1/2 min walks in between...got 8 min total in. Not great, but not horrible considering I didn't want to run at all!
Oh, and the good news is, I put on a pair of slacks today that I haven't tried in a while because they were so tight the last time I wore them...and they're LOOSE! Woo hoo!
Have a good day, all.
