A Quick Note

I'm swamped with work , but I'm not going to use that as an excuse anymore. So here's a short vignette.
Yesterday, I did not make it to the gym. I had group meetings, department meetings, interviews, and class -a busy day. When I got home, I was completely utterly exhausted...but I was also close to 10,000 steps. I had to take abby out, so instead of taking the elevator, we went down and up from the 9th floor. So many stairs!
But I still wasn't at 10,000.
The husband was watching the Daily Show, and instead of sitting and watching with him , I jogged in place while we were watching! A small bizarre thing, but I would never have thought of it, only the desire to complete those last 1500 steps pushed me to it. I was "too tired to go to the gym" but apparently that wasn't 100% honest.
Thank you fitbit for a little inspiration. Now if only I could make heads or tails of the calorie calculations...yesterday tracked 1019 calories burned over the course of the day O_O what is going on here?
