Taking things into my own hands...

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

After my angry rant yesterday about the medical profession here, I calmed down and decided to take things into my own hands. I called an made an appointment with a physiotherapist. Without a doctor's reference, physiotherapy is not covered by my medical insurance, so I'll have to pay for it myself. But at this point, it's worth it to me. If the physiotherapist says that they can really help me, then I'll go back to the doctor and go all stubborn until he gives me the referral so my insurance will cover the treatment.

With my knee the way it's been since Friday, I've missed four out of five days of working out, and I feel awful about it. I don't feel guilty for missing them, since I'd rather miss them than do permanent damage. But I always feel good after I've worked out. I have more energy that day and am able to focus better. So the last three days I've really been dragging.

I have my fingers crossed that things will go well with the therapist. I really need to get my butt moving again before it starts growing.
