My tummy trouble (constipation, cramping, bloating, gas) is almost gone! I'll spare you any further details. If anybody needs details for therapeutic reasons , please e-mail me.
This is what I was led to try, all of which seemed to be soothing:
Oatmeal (added butter and brown sugar) YUM!
Peppermint Tea (Celestial)
Tension Tamer Tea (Celestial) -- very effective
Cocoa (used SF, FF powdered) Essentially this was flavored water but tasted good warm
1 dose of Fiber-Con, continued with multi-vitamin and prescribed medication
Chewed peppermint gum
Sucked on real peppermint candy -- very effective
For some reason, craved real butter! Ate butter on things, in things, and straight!
Not sure about the butter, but it was a definite craving. Maybe someone has a thought on this? Would be interested!
Avoided anything with added fiber or bran (felt it would be too rough)
Avoided anything too hot or too cold (felt it would be too shocking)
Slightly warm was excellent
Avoided any vegs and fruit raw (too rough and hard). Had applesauce and cooked vegs
Avoided anything that was hard or tough or had sharp edges (meat, nuts, snack food). Supper was tuna and noodle casserole.
Avoided dealing with problems
Relaxed in evening
These food choices were remedial and perhaps temporary to get my system back in order.
I don't know how much of this will be a permanent change. Definitely don't want to get back to that point again!
I will continue to use intuitive eating and living from here on and share with you anything significant.
