I don't know about you, but I can go from feelng thin to feeling fat in just about a second. I have loose jeans & tight jeans. Because sometimes you need to be comfortable (like after running 13.1 miles) & sometimes you need a little reminder to make better choices.
Typically I'll wear something tight to go out in -- not to show off my bod (well, not completely), but to give me incentive to make good choices.
I even have thinner & thicker underwear -- c'mon, you know it's true! -- and I will often choose a thicker pair to make sure my jeans fit a bit snugger -- which makes me think I'm heavier than I am & can again lead to better choices.
It's really tempting to dress in sloppy clothing to "hide" ourselves, but we fool no one and only remind ourselves what "losers" (in a bad way) we are. But when you look good you feel confident & confidence, not weight, is what makes us attractive.
Yes, it's hard to find flattering clothes when we're overweight -- but it's not impossible. You are worth the extra effort.
I thought about this today because I woke up feeling thin. Unfortunately I also woke up very hungry. I had to totally rearrange my eating plan today because while my plan sounded really good on paper, I knew it would be no match for my hunger level today. The day before WI, naturally.
I made a new plan which I think will work well for me & then I pulled on my thicker undies & tighter jeans. Suddenly I didn't feel so thin anymore. But that's ok, because if I stick to my plan, I'm hopeful about tomorrow's WI.
Right now it's just a not-very-attractive fleece turtleneck & jeans, but after I walk the dogs & take simba to the vet I'll change into something that makes me feel good about myself. Don't forget to dress for the life you want today -- not necessarily the one you have.
