Hey Is it Day 3 Already?

Well I can't believe I'm still here on Spark after 3 days. I have had so many false starts over the past two years but I feel as if this time it might work for me (again). I am still planning on video blogging, so stay tuned for that, hopefully later today. I have an exciting announcement to make regarding the video blogging, so that could be exciting as well.
Here's the skinny on me and my Spark history. In November of 2009 I got really tired of being fat and stumbled upon Sparkpeople.com. I started tracking what I ate, staying within a certain calorie guideline and occasionally taking a walk. I started to loose weight! I got more and more motivated and over the course of about 6 months I lost 50 pounds. You might think that is fast, but for me, not really. I am a pro at dieting. I am not a pro at keeping off the weight. I'm 44 now and the first time I ever went on a "diet" was 30 years ago when I was a freshman in high school. My mom and I joined Weight Watchers together and I successfully dieted my way down to 172 pounds (from 202). Funny how I can still remember the numbers after all these years, isn't it? Well, I gained it all back and more within a year and so began my love affair with yo-yo dieting.
Now I am just over 100 pounds more than that "low" weight. I've been heavier though! I know that I have been over 300 pounds, but I somehow never seem to step on a scale when I'm that heavy.
So here I am, back at Spark, hoping to "loose it" once and for all! I hope you will continue to follow me in my journey here on Spark because the support of other Sparkers is what Spark is all about!
