Snow/Stuff/Pedometer
!

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

Yesterday Omaha had it's first snow of the season. There was very little snow and it did not stick. It was not slippery.

Today I got my "stuff" moved over to the house where I store it. I've stored personal items at this house for ten years now. Just two more years til retirement and when I clear out my things from my friend's basement. Pictured are a few things I took over there this afternoon.

Today's Positives:
1. I got my "stuff" moved into storage today!
2. I walked over 6000 steps today, the first time since my knee break that I walked even over 5000 steps in one day!
3. My house is now much less cluttered! :-)
4. I decided to pay a cleaning service to clean my apartment when I leave it. I can not climb to clean high places nor stoop down, bend over, get on my knees to clean the very dirty tile floors nor to spot clean the carpet. I'll just walk out and have someone else do it, including a shampoo of the carpet.

Thanks for following my blogs. emoticon

Good idea to hire someone to clean! It is not worth the risk to your health to clean that apartment.

Beautiful picture of the snow even if it didn't stick. It was short sleeve weather here today. emoticon

Well thought out. We do what we have to and at times it feels a bit strange but necessary.

You are making quite a progress and in two years you retire. I don't do as much as I did before but still do what I can.

Wonderful accomplishments. 6000 + steps are satifying, aren't they? Yay!

Good for you for what you accomplished today. Having a cleaning service clean your apartment is a good thing. It is better to be safe than sorry. Glad you got to see some snow before you take off for hotter climes.

Over 6000 steps!! What an achievement! I know you are thrilled. That is really great. The preparations for your trip back to Africa seem to be going very well.

Good idea to hire the cleaning service. Treat yourself! You are certainly doing enough as it is and they will be able to get the job done quickly. You will have more time to devote to some other things you have to do and it will be less strain.

Well, at least you saw a little snow before you went back but I'm sure you will be happy to see the flowers and plants blooming outside your house again.

May the remaining preparations for your return go well and have a smooth and safe flight back.

~ Marcia

You are wise to know your limits and blessed to have a friend such as you have to store "stuff" for so long!
