Day 88: Loving Myself Healthy... great OA meeting, 3rd Step!

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

Day 27 of 30days Thanksgiving challenge: I'm grateful for a full WONDERFUL 8 hrs of sleep & the CPAP machine that helped it happen. With all of yesterday's stress, who knew it could happen. Yeah SLEEP! Really, it's amazing to me how I have felt all day. I have not been tired. I have not nodded off. I even lay down watching tv and didn't fall asleep. UNHEARD OF! I hope that this is the new normal for me.

Today has been a neutral day. My friend Brandy came and took Paul to work after they picked up the parts needed for my van repairs. Then Becca got a ride to work with a co-worker. Kaydon was home from school sick. It was raining today, so Jon stayed home from work & Michael didn't have to go babysit the granddaughters for me. I've spent much of the day Sparking along and playing some Face Book games. I also caught up on ALL of the tv shows that I had DVR'd and had not been able to watch. It was a totally relaxing and wonderful day. This evening my friend Dianna (whose birthday is tomorrow) picked me up and off we went to our meeting. The basis of the meeting this evening was the 3rd Step. Our question to discuss and ponder tonight was: "How do I feel about completely turning my life over to a Higher Power for guidence?" Interesting question to ponder. Funny how the answer to that question has changed over the years for me. I've been working the Steps a long time. Anyway, we had a good meeting and I feel great. After the meeting, Dianna was nice enough to drive me over to pick up Paul from work and then brought us home. Another friend, Paula (who is also my substitute at work) brought Becca home from work & Kaydon home from Karate (she took Kaydon too) so we are all now home and relaxing. DAY 2 NO VAN.... we made it through and are not worse for the wear. I am grateful for friends who are helping us and family members who are willing to compromise and help.

My caloric range is midline. My exercise is low. Life is good. Bright blessings to all.

emoticon I am so glad I saw your blog. I am SO HAPPY for you. It is amazing how sleep can improve one's energy level. Since I had the pacemaker implanted almost two weeks ago, my energery level has improved. It is also amazing how increasing your heartbeat and getting plenty of oxygen thru your body can improve energy level. We are going to win this battle!! Love ya! emoticon
