So Sunday we had family Thanksgiving. About 30 ppl. About half a dozen or so extra helpers in my kitchen. My sis made sweet potatoes but wanted to healthy them up so she just baked them and set out some butter, brown sugar, cinn/sugar, & cinnamon. The last two which came out of my pull-out spice rack.
So yesterday, I am making myself a yogurt snack. I make homemade Greek yogurt and I added some blueberries, a little more than usual in order to use up the last few in the bag. So I hastily grab the cinnamon and started to shake, when I noticed it was too light. I soon realized it was the cinnamon sugar! Okay no big deal. I hadnt shaken that much yet so I grabbed again and thought if I shake the cinnamon with gusto, it will be okay.
So I began to vigorously shake the cinnamon...and realized... this time it is too dark!! OH no!!! It was the chili powder!!! I always put my spices up in alpha order, so they tend to be in the same spot and I guess one of my helpers put them up in a different order!!!
I didnt look, I just grabbed out of habit. You would have thought that after the first time, I might have learned something.
Well, I didnt want to waste it. So I decided to suck it up and eat it. Maybe it would have a nice little kick to it, it might be like a sweet & spicy flavor I would enjoy. Well, it wasn't. But I ate it.
