I'm so frustrated with the medical care up here!! I just got back from my doctor's appointment to find out the results of my MRI for my knee...the knee that has been causing me endless difficulty and pain...and all he could find was "minor damage, not consistent with your symptoms". Ok. So what next then? I know darn well I'm not faking it. I know darn well how easy it is to end up on the sofa for two days alternating ice and heat packs on my knee. And I'm darn well NOT going to take a pat on the head and a dismissal because the doctor doesn't think my symptoms "fit".
So what does he think is the next course of action? Send me to an orthopedic surgeon for assessment. Not to a physiotherapist to start working on the stretched ligaments. Nope. Gotta wait 2 to 4 months to see a surgeon who's going to take one look at my tests and ask why the heck I'm wasting his time. Surgery for minor stretched ligaments is overkill. Physiotherapy to help strengthening the muscles that support the joint would be way more beneficial. But gods forbid that common sense rule up here!
I'm so tired of being in pain.
...end of rant...
