Answered prayer

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

As many of you know, my husband lost his job two weeks ago yesterday [time flies!]. We've certainly been in a state of upheaval and have had some turbulent moments, but God is miraculously giving us the grace to rest in Him, knowing that if He holds the world together in His hands, He can certainly hold our family together! Well, we decorated the house the other day for Christmas and Mary was quite disappointed that we weren't going to get a tree. I said, "Honey, we need to watch every penny so we're not going to get a tree; however, if you want to ask the LORD for one, go right ahead." She started praying for two things: A Christmas tree and money to buy her brother [she got Jonathan's name for Christmas] a present. Well, yesterday we got a call from an acquaintance asking if Mary could 'bunny sit' for a month, and maybe longer. She wants to pay her 1 month in advance. She was elated! She wants to use part of the money [$20 is what we pay at an older guy's tree farm where we cut down the tree ourselves] to buy our Christmas tree. She keeps saying how cool it is that God answered her prayer, and it makes her want to trust Him. I'm SOOOOOO happy that the LORD gave my daughter the desire of her heart!

It might seem insignificant [and unnecessary] to have a Christmas tree when there are weightier issues, but GOD must not think so! I'm SO,SO blessed that He does indeed give the desires of our heart!!!! And that IF He cares for the birds, that He also cares for us!

My girlfriend took this photo and sent it to Mary yesterday.

God is SOOOOOOO wonderful and fully worthy of our unwavering faith.

If God goes so far as to give us the DESIRES of our hearts, how much more won't He give us the things He knows we NEED. I will be praying for your family.

Just saw your post regarding lost job!! Looking for a great report of how God answers prayer and meets YOUR needs according to HIS riches!! You know the scriptures you need to stand on and I know you will. Each week we make "Declarations" in our church service. When we come to the ones that say our God is more than ENOUGH, and we believe Him for jobs and more jobs... gifts and surprises, found money, debts paid off, bills decreasing and blessings increasing. We say "ENOUGH" to limited supply and declare our allegiance to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think! (These declarations are from The Mission, Vacaville, CA, Rev. David Krone, and other places.)

Amen, and Amen, and Amen! As I sit here w/ tears in my eyes, your daughter will have a precious memory, not about dad losing his job, but how GOD cared about the details of her life and the things that mattered to her. When she turned to Him in trust, He was there to hear her and love her and care for her.
...and mom & dad as well! Blessings!
Sending love and prayers your way! emoticon
