Hello Sparkers!
Inspirational thought of the day: This ad by Nike.
YESSS.
RECAP ON NOVEMBER 26TH
FOOD
I ate well and stayed within my range. I've been trying to find some new ways of reducing calories all the while eating the same quantity of food - so that I can feel full and satisfied. So, I bought this yogurt, which is only 35 calories per 100g.
It was ok, but I can taste the sweetener they used and it doesn't appeal to me. I heard the regular (not 0%) was really good so I might try that one.
Last night's dinner? I was trying to mix things up (a bit) so I cooked whole wheat couscous with carrots & zucchini and chicken breast with some sweet chili sauce drizzled on top. It was really good and very low-cal. I know you can't tell in the picture but this is a small lunch plate.
It was delicious... Mmmm.....
FITNESS
Went to the gym after work and had a great chest/triceps workout. As I often do, I went to the mall during lunch so I got in a good 15-20 minutes of walking at a fast pace. The mall was surprisingly busy for a Monday afternoon. It put me in a great Christmas mood and I might even put up the Christmas tree tonight.
SLEEP
Still struggling because of my loss of sleep over the weekend. I went to see a movie last night and so I only got to bed around 11pm. I hit the snooze button once this morning but I felt guilty. I need to start embracing the wake-up feeling because, you know, I'll have to wake up early five days a week probably for the rest of my career.
WEIGHT
Yesterday I complained about a 2 lb increase. Well, I apparently dropped that 2lbs within 24 hours because I was back down to 200lbs this morning. These fluctuations can lead to discouragement if it weren't for tracking my food/exercise. Because I track, I know when the scale is reflecting something inaccurate. I am grateful yesterday's weigh-in didn't affect my efforts because it obviously was off the mark.
So, 1 lb to go before reaching my first goal!
Have a great day Sparkers!
