Hello Spark World,
I'm putting out a "public service announcement" today asking everyone to please check UNDER their lint traps in their dryers. I am diligent about cleaning my lint trap every single time I do laundry and periodically clean underneath. Still, I was shocked by how much had accumulated down there since the last time I cleaned it. A family of rats would have been proud to call it home.
It will now be a scheduled maintenance event. Not only does it hamper the function of the dryer, but it is a fire hazard. Please check!
And while we're on the subject, it's good to check your dryer vent located outside of your house. If it get's plugged, it will also hamper your dryer's ability to function. Plus, if the flap get's stuck open, you lose valuable heat.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
