Wow! Sometimes life throws us huge curve balls! Personally, my line of thinking is that once I deal with this issue- then I'll get back on track. What I learned over the last 6 weeks is that some issues will become on- going or will last longer than expected! My son (14, super healthy before and on the way to being super healthy again) ended up in the hospital. 3 surgeries and a month later, I'm now trying to get back on track. My first instinct was to workout 3 times a day and eat super clean, but after blowing that on day 1- I got discouraged and wasted an additional week. Then there was Thanksgiving- so might as well wait another week, right? Now as I sit here this morning looking through SP, I think to myself, "Why did I not just log in 1X for the motivation I needed"? I dont need to make huge leaps, or wait til Monday - and just for the record, I blew this Monday, so I'm giving myself a pat on the back for not waiting yet another week! I look back on some of MY blogs and kick myself for not taking my own advice! The positive in all of this is that being healthy was still on my mind! And even though I made some unhealthy CHOICES recently, I've still made some really healthy CHANGES in my life this year! So in closing- my advice to all of you Sparkers out there and also to myself- remember your motivation! It took less than 10 minutes here (SP) to push me back in the right direction! Find what motivates you - and when life throws those curve balls - go down swinging for the fence! You may not always score, but at least it keeps you in the game!
