Calm after the storm

At 11:30 pm, the alarm went off to our home dialysis cycler. I did not panic. I checked the heater line and could not resolve it. I called Baxter tech support. The young man was so helpful. Eventually after 30 minutes we were not able to resolve the problem. We had to cancel the process and start over. This is an 8.5 hour procedure. Thank God we are retired!

The new bags worked well. The dialysis therapy ended 15 minutes after my cleaning specialist arrived. I bustled my husband to the upstairs bedroom so he could calm down and sleep while she cleaned our house.

My training in Mechanicsburg was postponed due to the snow. So now I am calm and catching up on simple things.

    Good for you in not panicking. That may have been my first thought-who knows!! I would probablly have tried calling my RN daughter but my luck she would have been at work. lol It's nice to know the company has great tech support even though it didn't work. emoticon
