Live Fit - Day 3

Day 2 went into the books and now I begin Day 3. I feel like I am doing pretty good with the eating plan except my tummy is not happy with all this protein. I have been going to Body Pump classes at least 1 time per week for the past 2 months. I feel like I am starting to see some definition in my arms and shoulders and this does make me feel good. I can tell I am building muscle in my thighs under all that flab. But, the flab isn't starting to burn and my pant legs are getting tighter. This is not such a good thing since my thighs not really fitting into my size 14 pants is what got me started on this trend to get healthy and look good. Thus, I have resorted to wearing skirts and dresses to work. I am going to stick with the plan and I can't wait to get to phase 2 and start burning some of the fat.

So proud of me for attending 2 BP classes in a row. I can tell that I am on my way to getting fit. I did something to injure my left knee on Sunday so I wasn't able to complete the last 20 minute of class because I didn't want to risk further injury doing lunges. Back again tonight. My husband is also starting to attend BP classes twice a week. He got jealous when I started going to the gym and cited that if I get to looking "too good" I might leave him. This is hilarious to me since I was about 30 pounds lighter when we married and he was about 90 pounds heavier (before weight loss surgery). I mean after 10 years who would want to break in a new husband. Seriously! :)

I am looking forward to the day and I think I am starting to get some energy back after it left me when I ate an entire table worth of food on Thanksgiving. I WILL NOT ever do the holiday binge again. I went from awesome amounts of energy to just let me lay down and die energy levels.

    My knees always hurt when I do lunges. I don't think they are really that good to do. If I'm following somebody else like in a video I just do squats during the lunges parts.

    Great start! I laughed after your comment about breaking in a new husband! Seriously!

Just keep at it and diet and workouts get easier. Highly recommend the flaxseed or fish oil to even out the protein. I still never made it up to 2 meals of 5 egg whites-- even during the hungry weeks (7 and 8). Everyone is different, its okay to adjust to what yours needs.

    You are doing great! Your body will adjust. The swell and tummy issue gets better. I eased myself into the diet. Keep drinking your water. It really does help. WTG on those workouts and hitting Day 3. As for that holiday binge, it is behind ya now. I love how when we do have our little binges, we now know how much better we feel when we eat cleaner and in moderation. Although at the beginning of LiveFit you feel like you are eating beyond moderation! LOL It's a lot of food. Oh, and how wonderful you get to workout with your honey:) My boyfriend announced he needs to start!!! That is after his birthday tomorrow. He wants his cake:)
