Yet another appointment

Monday, November 26, 2012

Today I saw my spine orthopedic surgeon for yet another follow-up. This marks about 15 months since the lumbar fusion L-5. After a long discussion about a number of different things, including, yes the spasms, I left after being there a long time. I go back in 3 months for x-rays and to see if the leg spasms, low back spasms will be improved or not. If not, then a cat scan to see what is going on.
If I compare it to a year ago, definitely I am better than that. (I was still using a walker to pull myself out of bed!)

And I called the allergist and got the ok to go back for allergy shots, now that I finished the antibiotic for the ear/sinus infection. By the time they called, it was too late to go this morning. It will have to wait for Weds. or Thursday after work.

Tomorrow I see my primary care doctor. I know I did not lose the weight I was supposed to for that visit. My visit at the allergist last week showed my blood pressure had gone down anyway.

Tonight's plan. Get a good night's sleep. I did get to walk at least a mile and a half today, and went up and down stairs a few times.

After supper, I got hungry - fed the urge an apple.

I too, am sorry to hear they are not doing a whole lot for those spasms and are waiting it out -easy for them to do when they aren't the ones suffering!! That is good you are over being sick and can be back on the allergy shots.
Good for you to feed your urge with healthy!
Keep up the great work!
Hugs,
Linda

Good for you an apple, I had 3 for my supper, I did not want to eat anything but I always love apples. Next thing I knew I saw 3 apple cores on the side of the sink waiting to be put in the disposal. HUGS Pat in Maine,

Great way to feed that urge! WOO HOO! I'm sorry to hear that they are making you wait another 3 months before looking further into your spasms though. They can take forever on those things sometimes. However, I'm sure you did fine on your weight loss for the doctor tomorrow. Great job getting in that walk too! Good luck and keep up the fabulous work!

Hoping things get better. Sure can get to be daunting at times to continue dealing with health issues but your attitude is great - keep it up.
Hugs
Pat
