The Scale Can Be So Depressing

Intellectually I know, there are many ways to measure your weight loss success other than the scale. But that number gets me every time! I want what I have deemed the "perfect" number for me. Sometimes I go through stages of weighing myself every day at the same time, sometimes I weigh myself once in the middle of the week, and sometimes I go through long periods (months) of avoiding it like the plague. When I hit a good number I am so motivated and when it is bigger than expected I am devastated. On the positive side that despite how I feel when I have that awful weigh in, I have been staying with my plan and not giving up. One of these days I am going to hit my number or maybe realize the number I deemed "perfect" isn't so perfect for me. Either way I know I will feel great!
