The Plan is working! And I'm working the Plan! Woooohooooo!

Monday, November 26, 2012

Although it was of a four-day, holiday weekend and I was so totally out of my 'rut', each day, each meal, I was determined to make good choices. Although I did not do an 'official' workout, I did get in as much activity, walking, (painting) stretching, etc. as I could. And it paid off when I got on the scales this morning.

My 'official' weigh in day is Wednesday, but I couldn't wait.... I stepped on the scales this morning and found that since last Wednesday, I am DOWN one-tenth of a pound. Hey, that sure beats an increase!!!

(I shudder to think what the scales would have registered if I had not applied what I've been learning!)

And it reconfirms my belief in the Plan - The SparkPeople plan REALLY WORKS!

I am thinking that even if I don't lose any weight over the Christmas holidays, if I just don't gain I will be ahead of the game because I am sure under normal conditions I would gain at least 5 pounds. You did great!
I am Canadian so had thanksgiving pre- spark.

Yes it does work! I ate quite a bit more than a usual day, yet still confined my choices to healthy and overall, ate less than ever at a Thanksgiving. Because of my ramped up eating, I also ramped way up on the walking and offset those extra calories. Thanksgiving morning weigh-in, and Monday morning weigh-in = zero change! Huzzah!

Great attitude. Way to go on the loss on a weekend that's typically filled with great foods and eating.
