Ok I have never been great about keeping a journal, so I shouldn't be surprised I am not keeping up on this one. But man there has been a lot happen.
My dr ordered some more blood tests last month, when she got them back in she increased my thyroid med and put me on a very high dose of vitamin D. I had no idea vitamin D could play a role in weight lose. She told me the ideally the vitamin D levels should have come back between 40-70, mine was 9.6.
After doing some reading on that I found out that the fat cells could actually take the vitamin D from you.
They also sent me in for an upper GI, which showed my acid reflux has turned into Barrett's Esophagus. I am not liking anything I have read on that, as it puts me in a higher risk for cancer of the esophagus. But she has also doubled my acid meds and that just makes losing weight that much more important.
She also has me limiting my carbs to no more than 45 grams per meal or 135 grams per day. That really isn't much, but I am adjusting to it for the most part, and what can I say I have lost close to 10 lbs this last month from all of it so it's working and that is the biggest thing right there.
