Great advice from a treasured spark friend!

Monday, November 26, 2012

Last week wasn't so great as proven by my low WUB score ! But my great spark friend, 1StateofDenial, gave me some perfect advice. My goof-ups can actually help me figure this out. Who woodathunkit! That is so much better than berating myself.

"Have you tried checking in with yourself after you type up your WUB? Ask yourself questions like:
Why didn't I meet this goal?
What problems arose?
What could I do to prevent or circumvent those problems in the future?
How can I ensure I will meet this goal next week?
What can I schedule right now to make sure I accomplish my tasks next week (schedule a workout, schedule a hobby activity, schedule your meals so you know what you're having and not 'forget' about a food you wanted to get eaten)?
What can you change in your house to help you meet your goals (like having less coffee available and keeping your workout/water aerobics gear packed and ready)?

Saying if you're doing something or not is one step,

emoticon now move onto the next step by really getting involved with the reasons emoticon why you're doing or not doing something you want to.

Once you know why then you can work on how to make it easier emoticon to do it than not do it. "

And--to my other sparkfriends who commented--also emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon and emoticon

All of your support helps me! Chris emoticon

talked about it.
I couldnt see my self like that. I finally admitted it. Now I am learning what the triggers
are ?? I need to start taking the time or writing down what makes me do this/

the other night I had 4 icecreams one of each flavor . Roy said to me YOU ARE Binging!!!

    I'm glad I can help!

Give yourself a few weeks, even 2 months if you need it, to figure out the WHY. You could have different 'whys' each week, so you need time to find which arise more over time. After that, take some time to plan before enacting the plan.

None of this has to be accomplished immediately. Trying to rush this will make it more difficult. I know that with the time and effort you can figure this out!

Every time we shoot for a goal and don't quite make it we can learn something from it. It isn't always easy to see, but it's there.
