My running club is having 4 sessions of Yoga starting tonight and going on 4 consecutive Mondays. Sessions are free and I've committed to going to all 4. We'll see.
My last attempt at Yoga was not free and it was a combination of hot Yoga and power Yoga. The instructor tonight is a young man who was on my Ragnar Relay team and he will be merciful. The instructor at my one and only past section saw me concentrating on
and came over to torture me by making me hold an unreasonable position until I my muscles were quivering and I was about to collapse. I will concentrate on the teacher (yogi?) tonight.
Or at least do my ogling with my peripheral vision.
I really hope to last for 4 sessions. Hope, not expect.
have you seen the video on youtube of the man who couldnt walk without canes? he began doing yoga and had such a hard time, but after awhile he began to lose weight and he could even run seems real, but check it out....go to youtube and type in "the amazing transformation of a guy who didnt give up" 1370 days ago
I have not been to a yoga class since we moved from CT back ion 2008. My YMCA has them, but I just really enjoy my private, at home, early AM yoga following two Rodney Yee DVD's. I know I would learn some new poses if I went to a class, and now could do some of the poses I had no chance of doing 4 years, but I find my home sessions so much more relaxing. 1370 days ago
My first attempts at yoga left me unbearably sore. I realized it was because I was trying to exactly what the instructor was doing. Take it at your own pace, and don't be afraid to do the modified version, which is for all beginners. :) 1371 days ago
