Well, the holiday season is almost upon us. It's a big part of the year, and a time of year when most people end up gaining weight. I am blogging my plan for avoiding the weight gain: small steps. I know that seems counter-intuitive in this season of 'more is better', but it's been small steps that have gotten me this far.

Today I have decided to exercise for ten minutes every single day. (Thanks to MOSTMOM1 for the push in that direction!) And I have come to learn that sometimes it's just small tweaks that keep us on the bright side of the scale, like cutting out sodium or skipping dessert a couple of times a week. (Thanks to my challenge sisters and coaches for that advice!) And I have my own advice to fall back on; after all, Christmas is just one day, not a reason to overeat the entire season.

So this will be the test of the small steps, the little extra push, the grateful feeling that even though it's a whole holiday season, I can take it one day at a time.
