I wanted to share some photos of our new little man with you guys, I apologize for the wait. The c-section went well, I was discharged in the evening and the following morning at home my stitching burst, my incision opened and my intestines were coming out :-/
This is not common at all, in fact, no one had heard of the intestines coming out. I took an ambulance ride to the ER, and had emergency surgery. Needless to say, this was all extremely terrifying for myself, and my family. Thankfully they were able to save my intestines, there wasn't any damage. They took everything out... cleaned it, and put it all back in and closed me up a second time, only they used more to keep me closed than with the c-section. I don't know if it's because I had two major surgeries in one week, or if it was everything they did the second time, but pain has been much worse after the last surgery, and recovery seems to be taking longer. While in the hospital, I was on such heavy meds I couldn't nurse, which was heart breaking to me. I had to pump and dump, which will make a woman cry to pump out that "gold" only to watch it go down the drain. Thankfully, Wesley took a bottle, and formula just fine, and from anyone. And even better... he went right back to nursing with no issues and my production kept up just fine.
I'm thankful for all the prayers, God was so involved with the events of that day. Had the EMT not thought to put saline water on my intestines, I would of lost some of them... had the firemen not HAD the saline water with them I would of lost some. By His strength I dealt just fine with the 2 IV'S, countless blood draws, 3 belly shots, etc, instead of passing out as I normally do. We had issues for about 24 hours with my pain not being relieved by nurses, and a few other things, but once it was managed I progressed quickly, again, only by His strength. I cannot, CANNOT express how truly thankful I am that this wasn't more serious, it sure could of been. In the mean time, I'm just taking it one day at a time. Today is my first day alone, and I'm doing well. I was scared out of my mind to be alone and something happening again but God has brought me a sense of peace about it all.
I hope to be more diligent on here, but sitting straight up in a dining room chair makes me sore pretty fast, so until I recover more, it may be awhile. I love you guys... thanks for being so awesome.
