Well our Thanksgiving weekend was lovely on one hand...we enjoyed our hike ect. I did miss my brother though. I never get to see him any more. We had our nephew for the weekend. Took him on a 3 hour train ride. He has loved trains ever since he could walk. We really enjoyed it. That little man makes me laugh so much. Sorely needed indeed!!

Our daughter Karyn has thrown us a bit of a curve. She most likely will fly out Christmas Eve for Australia. Yep, I said Australia. She has been searching for the next step. This particular job ends this Friday. She has gotten no response on any of the applications for internships or jobs. So she is pursuing being an aupair for a couple with 2 girls in Australia. It is very common practice in other countries. So with fear and trepidation we will most likely send her off for 6 months to a year. Lots of research and legal things to do in the mean time...

So Christmas will also be without any of the children home but that is part of them becoming adults and part of life. We have a family tradition of seeing a movie on Christmas. This year it is Les Mis. My fav musical of all time and Karyn's as well. Now I have mixed feelings about going to see it. BAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to shake off the holiday blues and quick!!

I caught a chest cold from my babysitting kiddos so that has not been fun. But we did walk last night and will tonight. As much for my mood as my fitness!!

I am going to my way thru the melancholy mood!!
