Getting Started

Monday, November 26, 2012

Yesterday, I made my first concrete effort to move forward on my weight loss goals by signing up for SparkPeople, getting on some "teams", and actually tracking my food. I didn't actually eat healthy or do any exercise because that would be too rational and sensible and, if you know me at all, then you know rational and sensible are not my bag baby.

Today was going to be a nice scheduled day - work from home in the AM, then a workout, then in the office for the evening, then homework at night. Now it looks like it will be a hectic workday at the office for last-minute-freak-out meetings with people I didn't even know were involved in the project. This will not set me up for success.

But last night I drank the rest of the wine and beer in the house and ate all the cookies, so at least those won't be there to tempt me. (Silver lining, right?) And I'm hoping that putting this all out there will help me stick to making-better-choices throughout the day. (image from
itness, which I am soooooo gonna start reading)

You can not do it overnight! Just start with baby steps, Start drinking your water & tracking your food. After a while you will see you are making much better choices! And even 10 min of exercise is beneficial! Sometimes I just dance around the house. It is a good form of cardio!
