Every so often, I put the next part of my Spark Journey into my blogs, so I have a record of my trials and tribulations (hee hee) and so I can start off with fresh comments on my spark page. This was part seven from 12/31/11 to 11/25/12 This last eleven months was one giant step backwards for me, but I am determined to keep moving forward and to continue to lose the pounds I regained and also the rest of the weight I need to lose. I am back at the gym as often as my work schedule allows and I am in control of my eating. That's my first step forward. May there be many, many more. :-)
Spark Journey Part Seven:
Anytime Fitness has opened a 24/7 gym in our town. I am loving it, and I'm down four pounds this past week!
"Success doesn't mean the absence ot failure; it means the attainment of ultimate objectives. It means winning the war, not every battle." - Edwin C Bliss
... and with those profound words, today I am taking two steps forward and continuing on my journey towards a healthier me.
4/19/12 I fell in my bathroom and fractured my tenth posterior rib on Easter Sunday (4/8) Let me tell you, that has made exercising pretty challenging but it is incredible what I can still do! ;-) No excuses, right?
I'm still working at it. I refuse to give up. My weight is slowly starting to creep back down and my size 12 jeans are getting looser again. See my blog for more! :-)
12/31/11 It's the last day of 2011. I haven't lost any weight over the past four months, and in fact my weight has crept back up ten pounds. I refuse to give up and I refuse to give in. I'm just going to keep working on this lifestyle change I vowed to make when I joined Spark People three years ago. At the time, I weighed in at 250 pounds and a size 24. Today, I'm not sure what I weigh, but last week it was 176, and I'm still in my size ten or twelve jeans, depending on the brand! :-) In eight days, I'm heading off to Walt Disney World with my husband and family to enjoy a wonderful vacation. I've been working ninety hours a week (Yes, that's correct. I have three jobs, one full time and two part-time due to our financial situation. Did I mention that stress causes me to eat too much? :-) I love my jobs, which really helps, but I'm ready for that vacation! This week I am determined to eat right, drink my water, and hit that elliptical every day!
Here are my original goals:
Goal 1. Teach myself healthy eating habits and become fitter.
Goal Two: Weigh in at 220 by 1/30/09. Met 1/12/09
Goal Three: Weigh in at 212 by Feb 15, 2009.
Goal Met: 1/31/09.
Goal Four: Weigh in at 200 by March 15, 2009. Goal Met: 3/11/09
Goal Five: Weigh in at 190 by April 15, 2009. Met April 18, 2oo9! Hooray!
Goal Six: Weigh in at 180 pounds by June 30, 2009.
Goal met June 25, 2009.
(Here's where the one step backward came into effect. I re-gained to 200 pounds and then maintained that weight for a year, determined I wasn't going to re-gain any more. It worked, and then I started moving back in the right direction. One step backward, two steps forward!)
Goal 7: Reach 175 pounds by the time I leave for WDW on Jan 1st 2011. GOAL MET 12/17/10
