Sometimes I find clutter comes in various forms. Just as we clean and redecorate our living space, we have to clean and redecorate our spiritual self. Today is our beginning of a journey that is timeless and endless.
Last year I won our town Christmas Decorating Contest. The category I won was most creative. This year my grandmother died. I have given a lot of thought to my house and Christmas. My very favorite night of the year is Christmas Eve. I have envisioned a single candle in the window. The thought of the quote, "More is just more." comes rushing to mind. As time has past my vision has grown. I see an cement angel in the side yard with a simple wooden sign that has the quote, "For unto us is born a savior..."
This morning as I write this blog I am looking around at the clutter. Yesterday my mom said to me, "Mary, at least decorate the outside." Maybe that is part of the problem. I have tried for so long to decorate the outside.
Today I am starting with a box. My goal is to start the removal of the clutter from within not only my living room, but also the clutter within me. Today is the first day of 25 days of clutter removal.
This is our first Christmas tree. We adopted it on December 19 of 1993. We got it on our second date. It is now planted on my Grandparent's farm.
