Today was day one. Tracker says i did ok, suprisingly, but somehow I don't think I did, but if I was over it was just slightly.
Living here in Minnesota can make it challenging for a few reasons. It gets dangerously cold here. Some days later in the winter you don't dare go out for a walk. Right now, it's such a bother, because we have to bundle up to keep warm. Only problem is with my recent weight gain I can't quite zip up my coat and forget about snowpants. I hope I can get some of this weight off before the family snow tubing with the girl scouts in January. I usually participate, the girls have been asking me lately to participate in things I would normally do, and I have been telling them no due to my weight and back. They seem to understand but its still hard on me.
Another thing is the lack of sun light here. I recently e-mailed my doctor and asked her to test my Vitamin D levels, and sure enough I was deficient again. She basically told me I would need to stay on a vitamin supplement of at least 2000 per day, unless I moved somewhere tropical. I started taking 8000 a day this week, because I previous doctor had prescribed a 50000 per week perscription to bring me up fast when I was deficient.
So because my D is low, I am more prone to being sick (FUN!). I have been running a low grade fever since Tuesday and I am full on cold mode now. Sore throat off and on, sinuses in my checks and eyes hurting, sneezing, coughing, eyes watering and feeling really run down. So the chance to do nothing today was to tempting. I haven't given in to my normal binge though today, so that was a victory. I told my family today I absolutely hate having a cold, I know the symptoms aren't that bad, but I hate feeling like this for two weeks or more. I said I would much rather a nice 24 hour stomach flu.
Tomorrow, since I didn't go off plan as much as I thought today, I will keep going at this. I hope to be able to get up and get on the elipitical while my husband is in the shower, or one of the girls.
Wish me Luck!
