Staying On Track During The Holidays

What am I going to do during the next month? The time of year that people alternately love to look forward to and dread at the same time?

I'm going to continue to track my food and drink. It's a topic of curiousity to me, the number of people here on SP that do NOT use the nutrition tracker every day. It's free. It's easy. It helps you be accountable. It helps you plan. I love it!

I'm going to continue to work on getting my 30 minutes of fitness in every day, and increase it a bit 2-3 days a week, say up to 40 minutes a day. I got a new set of hand weights that I'm looking forward to using.

I'm going to continue to use SP and read articles and learn everything I can about nutrition, motivation, and wellness.

I need to get more sleep. That is an area that I do need to work on. I know I feel better, and the weight comes off easier the more well rested I am.

So...on that note...nighty night!!

    You clearly know what you need to do to take care and happy the cold is going away. I loved the part of the tracker as I struggle with doing this daily though I too know it works. I too am going to push myself to use it more consistently. Maybe you should kick me in the rear on occasion. Bruises around the holiday wouldn't be good. LOL

    great plan! like you, i use the tracker all the time. it really helps me stay focused. in the past when i have fallen back into bad eating i know the tracking is what i stop doing first and the rest of the disaster follows on behind.
    hand weights are a terrific way to add to your exercise--strength training is often overlooked in our zeal to get our aerobic time in, but its equally important. adding some weight to a routine is a great way to do it.

    I agree with you--according to all the research, tracking one's food intake is the number one strategy for successful weight loss. So why not do it here at SP for free? I'm also working on getting more/better quality sleep. That's the main reason I bought a fitbit.

    Your holiday plan sounds great--go for it!

    I take my birthday and xmas off tracking (not off exercise, I love exercise), but other than that it is business as usual!
