If your reading this, my title hooked you:either to berate me for saying so or because you, on some level agree. I did not say and will not say it is THE option. We have all faced it, the moment we need to decide if pressing forward will be our course for action. If you are at that moment, that crossroad where it's the couch or the latest workout... The next few moments in your life are crucial!
I, you, we are not alone. I, you and we are fighting for our lives. Fight requires action, action equals movement. Do what you can, when you can! We all have aches, pains and excuses.... Some aches and pain will actually go away the more you move and the access stuff you shed.
I say stuff, because sometimes it isn't just the physical weight that keeps us down. Our minds have more to do with our matter than we may realize. For me, it is my FEAR OF FAILURE. I have set up my home life with such careful control, that introducing something new (like time for me, to workout and such) will mess up something. Even though it probably won't. if I set up a time, a goal, a weightless regime that I cannot follow... I failed.
But, no I didn't! It is the opposite of that, it is a time to grow and develop the new me I am trying to find. I am coming off a restrain of a serious back injury. My back can and will be much much better when I let go of the 'stuff' that is keeping me from reaching my full potential. Most of that stuff is the self negativity. Daily affirmations can help with that.
So when you have the option talk to yourself, look at failure... A deep and serious look. It is there and will be lurking around corners, seeking whom it can destroy. But with the new found strength of friends who are going through this journey as well, and the strength you are gaining everyday you can and will kick some serious booty!
I am getting back, full force in the AM to kick not just back pains ass, but failure too.
