After experiencing more knee pain, back pain and even abs pain than ever before, I started feeling like there was no solution.
Then of course common sense (which wasn't very common for me) kicked in and reminded me that, if I lose the extra weight I have been carrying for the past few years, there's a good chance these problems might go away. (Duh!)
But just to bring this logic into reality, I grabbed a five kilo (10 pound) weight from the gym floor and went for a little walk... around the room a couple of times and then up and down the stairs - just once. By then, I was feeling very tired - I hadn't made any of my aches and pains worse, but I certainly could tell the difference when I put the weight down again!
So if this had such a great effect on my ability to exercise even lightly, imagine the ridiculous pressure I put on my body when I carry my extra body weight in the dance and weights classes,yoga sessions or even just my daily chores!
